The Palominas Fire Department as a policy does not

respond to bee calls.

However we will respond in an emergency situation.

If  persons or animals are immediately threatened we will respond to provide protection from a bee swarm. Under this situation you should call 911 and explain your emergency.

Normal Bee Behavior

Bees can be as unpredictable as any other form of nature. We have learned that bees will usually only attack when threatened or if they feel as though  they are being attacked. If you see a swarm, stay clear of it and keep others and animals away from the area. In most cases the swarm will move within one day, usually in the morning hours. If you can, wait to see if the colony will move on.

If not you may need to call a specialist. We have listed a specialist in our area at the bottom of this page.

As always– if it is an emergency call 911 for assistance.
